Regardless of what my or your opinions are about the office of the British monarchy, there are some lessons in leadership that Queen Elizabeth 2 taught the world by the way she lived and carried out her duties .
1. Commitment to duty is proof of your integrity
2. Being respectful earns you the respect of others
3. Even if you carry the burden of the legacy of of the institution you are asked to lead, you can play an important role in transformation
4. When you rise above the many tides of controversy, you become a stabilizing and unifying force for good
